Magna House can accommodate up to 18 patients, who may be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983. 

Magna House is registered to provide the following regulated activities:

• Treatment of Disorder, Disease or Injury

• Assessment or Medical Treatment for Persons Detained Under the Mental Health Act 1983.

Admission Criteria:

 

Inclusion

Rehabilitation Need

Aged 18-65 or 65 and over

Diagnosis of Mental Health Disorder, for example mood disorder, schizophrenia

May be detained under Mental Health Act 1983, with or without MOJ restrictions. 

Exclusion

Physical health issues as primary diagnosis such as frailty or difficulties with mobility

Primary diagnosis or presenting problem of eating disorder or substance misuse

Requirement for use of long-term segregation or seclusion

Patients experiencing acute episode of mental ill health or in active crisis, therefore requiring acute care or PICU. 

Patients who are not ready for rehabilitation service.
